Project - Library of Irete Obara
This summer, we will be traveling to Havana to digitize the invaluable collection of Babaláwo Irete Obara. His extensive collection contains delicate texts that are in need of careful scanning and preservation. To ensure the success of this important initiative, we are seeking support for both travel and materials.
Specifically, we require:
- Archival folders and boxes to safely store the documents
- Handling gloves to protect the delicate materials during the digitization process
- Funding for airfare, lodging, and per diem for our team members during the trip
Your support will be instrumental in helping us safeguard and preserve this significant cultural heritage for future generations.

We seek funding for the acquisition of a dedicated NAS server to ensure the secure storage and management of our Digital Repository. This essential investment will provide a reliable infrastructure for safeguarding our valuable digital assets while allowing for efficient archive and library access. The funding will cover the cost of the server, necessary hard drives, software upgrades, and professional IT consultancy for deployment and ongoing maintenance.
